Getting Started: Create a New Note

Creating a new note is simple: tap the "+" icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen. Newly created notes will use the ".sdocx" extension.

Protecting Your Notes: Securing Sensitive Information

Secure your private notes with a password:

1. Go to the main screen, tap "More Options" (top right), then "Settings," and finally "Lock Note."
2. Choose a locking method and set your password. Alternatively, lock individual notes by tapping "More Options" on the specific note and selecting "Lock Note."

Enhancing Your Notes: Handwriting, Photos, and Voice Recordings

Add a personal touch:

• Handwriting: Enable the Handwriting icon to write directly within your notes.
• Photos: Insert photos by tapping the photo icon. Edit, tag, and manage existing images.
• Voice Recordings: Capture audio by tapping the Voice Recording icon, adding another dimension to your notes.

Exploring Writing Tools: Customization and Precision

Express yourself with a variety of tools:

• Pens, Pencils, Highlighters: Select from a range of writing tools with customizable colors and thicknesses using the Pen icon.
• Eraser: Easily remove unwanted content using the Eraser icon.

Importing Notes and Memos: Consolidating Your Information

Import notes and memos from other devices and accounts:

• Smart Switch: Transfer data from S Note and Memo using the Smart Switch feature.
• Samsung Account: Import existing notes and memos linked to your Samsung account.

App Permissions: Privacy and Functionality

Samsung Notes requires certain permissions to function optimally:

Required Permissions:

• Storage: Saves and loads document files.

Optional Permissions:

• Photos and Videos: Adds images and videos to notes.
• Notifications: Provides updates on shared notes, syncing, and more.
• Music and Audio: Adds audio to notes.
