Floatopia Is Coming To Android, And It Has Strong Animal Crossing Energy
NetEase Games unveiled their charming life sim, Floatopia, at Gamescom, with a projected multi-platform release, including Android, in 2025. This whimsical game features a world of floating islands and unique characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players farm, fish, and decorate their airborne homes.
A Cute Apocalypse
The game's premise involves a world-ending event, but don't worry, it's more "My Time at Portia" than "Fallout." The world consists of fragmented lands suspended in the sky, inhabited by individuals with varied supernatural abilities. Some powers are more useful than others, leading to some amusing character dynamics.
Players become Island Managers, tending crops, cloud-fishing, and customizing their island homes. The ability to travel to new locations and meet diverse characters adds to the adventure. Social interaction is a key element, with opportunities for shared adventures, island parties, and showcasing your creations. Multiplayer is optional, allowing for solitary or collaborative gameplay.
