Lies of P DLC and Sequel Announced: A Director's Letter Reveals New Content and Future Plans

NEOWIZ's director, Ji-Won Choi, recently penned a heartfelt message to fans of Lies of P, offering both a thank you and a sneak peek at upcoming content. The steampunk Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike game, released a year ago, is set to receive a DLC expansion, and a full sequel is in development.

DLC Details and Concept Art

Choi's letter expressed gratitude to players for their support, highlighting the team's dedication to creating a compelling DLC. He stated the intention to build upon the strengths of the original game while addressing previous issues. The DLC will feature a new storyline, as hinted at by concept art depicting P in a snowy location overlooking a lighthouse. The image suggests a new, challenging environment.

A new piece of music from the DLC's soundtrack was also shared, though it was originally composed in 2022. The accompanying music video features imagery reminiscent of the game's world.

Release Date and Future Plans

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 earnings report indicates a launch during the second half of 2024. The DLC will be released alongside other NEOWIZ titles, including The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Previously released concept art showcased two distinct locations: an imposing industrial facility and a dangerous shipwreck.

Choi concluded his message by assuring fans that the upcoming DLC is merely the beginning, with a full sequel already in the works. The wait for more information continues, but the future of Lies of P looks bright.
