在《星球大战：法外之徒》的首个大型游戏上线后更新中，育碧的新任创意总监Drew Rechner分享了提升游戏机制和玩家体验的计划，回应了玩家关于战斗、潜行和操控等关键领域的反馈。根据开发商的帖子，他们的“迄今为止最大规模的更新”将于11月21日与游戏登陆Steam和首个DLC一起发布。
开发商的更新以Rechner对《法外之徒》社区的真诚感谢开始，感谢他们“围绕游戏创作的粉丝艺术、评论和视频”所展现的热情和支持。但除此之外，Rechner在他作为创意总监的首个社区信息中，也承认了玩家宝贵的建设性反馈。“感谢你们与我们分享，帮助我们使游戏变得更好，”他说。
在已经发布的三个标题更新之后，Massive Entertainment正在直接解决一些社区最关心的问题。这些补丁已经修复了错误，改进了任务动态，并调整了飞车摄像机和碰撞，以实现更流畅的沙漠星球和茂密丛林之旅。
虽然Game8给予该游戏90分，称其为“一款对星球大战系列游戏名副其实的杰出游戏”，但Rechner认为仍有改进的空间。在他们的开发者更新中，他确定了三个关键领域，“可以进一步改进游戏”。
