Bandai Namco Partners with Rebel Wolves for Upcoming Dark Fantasy Action RPG, Dawnwalker

Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio comprised of former CD Projekt Red developers, including the game and art directors of The Witcher 3, has announced a publishing deal with Bandai Namco Entertainment for their debut title, Dawnwalker. This AAA action RPG, slated for release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox, will be published globally by Bandai Namco.

Set in a dark fantasy world inspired by medieval Europe, Dawnwalker promises a mature, story-driven experience. Further details are expected in the coming months. The studio, founded in 2022, aims to elevate the RPG genre with a focus on narrative depth and player choice.

Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Bandai Namco's reputation for narrative-driven RPGs and their shared values. Bandai Namco's VP of business development, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, sees Dawnwalker as a key addition to their Western market strategy.

Creative Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a veteran of CD Projekt Red and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, leads the development team. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, also a CD Projekt Red veteran, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP with a scope comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, promising a non-linear narrative and significant player agency. Tomaszkiewicz emphasizes the game's design to allow for diverse choices and replayability.
