What is the anime "Haikyu!!"?

"Haikyu!!" is an animated series based on a youth sports manga by Haruichi Furudate, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) starting in 2012. The story is set against the backdrop of high school volleyball.

Karasuno High School, once dubbed the "Fallen powerhouse, flightless crow," strives to reclaim its glory and reach the pinnacle of success. This passionate volleyball saga follows the journey of Shoyo Hinata, a boy captivated by the sport, alongside a cast of distinctive characters.

In August 2022, it was revealed that a sequel to the anime would be released as a two-part theatrical production.
