Bandai Namcoは、2025年1月18日にBlue Protocolの日本サーバーの閉鎖を公式に発表しました。その結果、Amazon Gamesとの合弁会社であるGlobal Releaseがキャンセルされました。 同社は、この決定の理由として、満足のいく継続的なサービスを提供できないことを引用しました。
最終的なシャットダウンまで、Bandai Namcoは更新と新しいコンテンツを備えたBlue Protocolのサポートを続けます。 ローズオーブの購入と払い戻しは停止しますが、プレイヤーは毎月5,000のローズオーブ（2024年9月から2025年1月）と250を毎日受け取ります。 シーズン9パスは無料で、最終更新（第7章）が2024年12月18日に開始されます。
2023年6月に発売されたBlue Protocolは、当初、日本で200,000人以上の同時のプレーヤーを集めました。 ただし、初期のサーバーの問題とその後のプレーヤーの不満は、プレーヤーベースの急激な減少をもたらしました。
