Pokémon GO's Halloween event is almost here, and Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!). Get ready for exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

The event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Event Highlights:

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko's Full Belly and Hangry Modes change its Aura Wheel attack type (Electric or Dark) mid-battle, while boosting its Attack stat in either mode.

During the event, Morpeko will have increased appearance rates in the GO Battle League's premium track, remaining available from Rank 16 onward, though more frequent in the premium battles.

A Spooky Celebration!

Pokémon GO will feature special Halloween decorations, and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music will play nightly throughout the event. Enjoy this eerie soundtrack:

Dynamax Gastly will appear in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits will run from October 22nd to November 3rd. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
