The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close, and the final week, titled Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and run until May 27th. This week marks a significant milestone as it brings your Kubfu to its ultimate evolution, transforming into the legendary Urshifu in one of two distinct forms: Single Strike or Rapid Strike.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication, it's time to see your efforts come to fruition by evolving Kubfu. To unlock the Single Strike style, set Kubfu as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-types instead.

Alongside the evolution journey, a Special Research will continue the ongoing Seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research offers rewards including Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, featuring a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, several bonuses will enhance your gameplay experience.

You'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to collect Max Particles, and the storage limit for Max Particles will increase to 1,600. All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, and you'll receive 8× Max Particles from these encounters. Additionally, you can perform two extra Special Trades during this window.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the damage boost remains constant.
