Marvel Rivals to Feature PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Suit This Month
Marvel Rivals players are in for a thrilling crossover as the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings into the game as a new skin. PlayStation shared the exciting news on X/Twitter, giving fans a sneak peek at how NetEase Games has reimagined this iconic video game outfit for their new hero shooter.
Originally designed by Insomniac Games for Marvel’s Spider-Man, the Advanced Suit 2.0 has become a fan favorite, appearing in all three entries of the series. Its standout feature is the striking white spider symbol, which now makes a surprising appearance in Marvel Rivals, marking a unique collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero game. Players can expect to see Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 available in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Since its launch in December, Marvel Rivals has offered a variety of unlockable suits, but the addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out as particularly special. Not only does it connect to the beloved PlayStation series, but it also features the voice of Yuri Lowenthal, who has lent his voice to Peter Parker in all three Insomniac Spider-Man games and now in Marvel Rivals. Players who grab the costume on January 30 will feel right at home as they swing into action.
NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds to the excitement of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which introduced new playable characters Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four. The Thing and Human Torch are slated to join the roster soon, and creative director Guangyun Chen has promised to release at least one new hero every month and a half, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content.
While we eagerly await the chance to don the new Spider-Man suit, take a moment to explore some of the custom skins players have modded into the game. Additionally, stay informed about the balance changes introduced with Season 1 and how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players.
