A Glimpse into Rhythm-Based Combat and Boss Battles

Created by Hiroyuki Kotani, the mastermind behind Patapon, and featuring music by the original Patapon composer, Kemmei Adachi, Ratatan's Kickstarter campaign, launched in 2023, successfully reached its console launch stretch goal, guaranteeing its release on various platforms.

Closed Beta Commences February 27, 2025

Ratatan's closed beta test is scheduled to begin on February 27, 2025, as announced on their Kickstarter page. Producer Kazuto Sakajiri shared exciting updates, revealing that the game has surpassed 100,000 wishlists on Steam and received positive feedback on its original soundtrack demo. While the game won't be featured in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, the team is prioritizing the closed beta and aiming for a more polished demo for the June Steam Next Fest.

Sakajiri outlined the closed beta's scope: the initial build will include Stage 1, with Stages 2 and 3 added throughout the month-long testing period. He also noted that beta code distribution details, along with the exact start date and time, will be announced via Discord and X (formerly Twitter) upon confirmation.

Ratatan is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. A precise release date is yet to be announced.
