The FreeStyle LibreLink app seamlessly integrates with FreeStyle Libre and Libre 2 sensors, enabling convenient glucose monitoring directly from your smartphone. Libre 2 users enjoy the added benefit of automatic, minute-by-minute glucose readings and alerts for high or low blood sugar levels. [1][2]
Key features of the FreeStyle LibreLink app include:
- Real-time glucose readings, trend arrows, and comprehensive glucose history.
- Low and high glucose alarms (FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors only). [2]
- Access to insightful reports, such as time in range and daily trends.
- Secure data sharing with healthcare providers and family (with your consent). [3]
Smartphone Compatibility:
App compatibility varies depending on your phone model and operating system. Check http://FreeStyleLibre.com for a complete list of compatible devices.
Using the App and Reader with the Same Sensor:
Alarms are device-specific; they'll trigger on either your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your phone, but not both simultaneously. To receive phone alerts, initiate the sensor using the app. For reader alerts, start the sensor with your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader. After reader initiation, you can still scan with your phone.
Important Note: The app and reader do not share data automatically. For complete data, scan your sensor every 8 hours with each device. LibreView.com provides a centralized platform to view data from all your devices.
App Information:
The FreeStyle LibreLink app, when used with a sensor, measures glucose levels in individuals with diabetes. A user manual is accessible within the app; contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Service for a printed copy.
Consult your healthcare professional for suitability and any questions regarding treatment decisions.
Visit http://FreeStyleLibre.com for more information.
[1] Using the FreeStyle LibreLink app requires a separate blood glucose monitoring system. [2] Alarms do not display glucose readings; a sensor scan is necessary to check your glucose level. [3] Using FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp requires LibreView registration.
