Leap a millennium into the past and seize your destiny to rule the world ahead of time!
When a modern army travels back a thousand years to conquer the past, they find their primitive adversaries are full of surprises. Lead a global resistance with hundreds of warriors from diverse cultures. Take direct control of a single hero or command your entire army from a strategic view. This game masterfully blends grand strategy with hands-on, interactive battles for the ultimate experience. And just when you think the conflict is over, history may be poised to repeat itself...
UPGRADES
While the core game is free to play, optional upgrades let you tailor your campaign—choose your starting side and territory size. Unleash chaos in fantasy battles that pit any two cultures against each other with as many units as your device can handle. You can even edit every character in the world, though please note the game dynamically uses up to 1,000 characters that are regularly cycled.
CONTROLS
When controlling an individual character, choose between the "Classic" one-handed control scheme or "Dual Wield" for independent left/right hand actions. If you're new to the series, you can pause the action anytime by tapping the timeline and reviewing the "Controls" guide. Also, watch for in-game hints from scrolls and books you discover.
Switch control between team members instantly by tapping their health bar or pointing directly at them on the battlefield. Tap the arrows at the screen's bottom to enter "Commander" mode—step back and direct any unit by swiping from their position to a target. They will interpret your command to move, attack, or interact, though they'll act according to their own awareness and priorities.
Regardless of your device or control method, you can always zoom in and out by pinching at the center of the screen.
MAP
In the main "Campaign" mode, expand your territory by moving units between connected areas. You can "fortify" a held region or attempt to seize a rival's. Remember, only 50% of a territory's units can travel, making defense easier than invasion.
Inhabited territories may gain population after each round, so controlling more land is key. Units also heal gradually over time, so rotating your focus between locations each turn is a sound strategy.
PERFORMANCE
Please be advised this is the most ambitious and large-scale game I've created; a high-end device is recommended for optimal performance. To improve framerate, consider lowering the "Population" setting to reduce on-screen characters or adjusting options in the "Display" menu.
I wish I could explain every detail, but part of the adventure is discovering the depth for yourself. Enjoy the journey!
