This app, "Hasami Shogi (Japanese chess scissors)," lets you play three variations of shogi: Hasami Shogi, Prisoner's Base Shogi, and Surround Shogi. All three use pieces divided into infantry and gold.

Hasami Shogi Rules:

Capture opponent's pieces by sandwiching them between your own. Winning requires capturing three pieces. Note that due to the game's nature, draws are possible.

Prisoner's Base Shogi Rules:

Move your infantry within a 3x3 grid to control the opponent's territory. Winning involves controlling all territory bordering the opponent's side. Opponent's pieces can be jumped over.

Surround Shogi Rules:

Similar to Hasami Shogi, you capture by sandwiching. Additionally, you can place pieces within the opponent's territory to surround and capture squares. Capturing six squares or controlling three territories secures victory.

The app offers three CPU difficulty levels and supports player-versus-player (PvP) matches.
