日本のテレビ界の巨人、フジテレビが任天堂の広告放送を停止しました。この動きは、アイドル男性グループSMAPの元リーダーで、著名なテレビタレントである中居正広を巻き込んだ性的不正行為の論争を受けてのものです。
この出来事は2024年12月、フジテレビの上級管理職が同僚のために主催した食事会について『女性セブン』誌が報道したことで明るみに出ました。その後『週刊文春』の報道によれば、出席者は中居と女性社員ただ一人のみだったとされています。中居は性的暴行の申し立てに直面し、この件はおよそ9000万円（約57万8000米ドル）で私的に解決されたと報じられました。
