Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo. If you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you're in for a treat with the return of some iconic characters from the 2016 edition.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack includes beloved characters like Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This new pack focuses solely on these characters, giving you the freedom to place them in any scenario you wish. You're not restricted to specific crime scenes or case files, allowing you to mix and match these nostalgic favorites with the newer 2023 cast if you choose.

Fans who have been vocal about missing the 2016 characters will be thrilled, especially since some felt the 2023 characters were a bit too modern. It's great to see Marmalade responding to the community's requests with this exciting pack.

There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode: the Retro Rules Set. This mode, available for free, lets you play by the original 1949 rules, bringing back old-school mechanics that change the way you move and make accusations.

In the Retro Rules Set, tokens start at designated spots on the board, and Miss Scarlet always gets the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard takes over. You can only make accusations when you're in a room, and Clue Cards are omitted entirely. Additionally, you cannot move through squares occupied by other players.
