Among Us 3D Release Updates
Coming May 6
Schell Games and Innersloth, the masterminds behind Among Us 3D, have officially announced that the game will launch on May 6, 2025. This exciting news was shared on April 16 via Among Us 3D’s official Twitter (X) account.
Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to cater to a wider audience with its cross-play multiplayer feature. The developers recently introduced a new currency called Stardust, which does not expire and offers players greater flexibility in choosing their in-game purchases.
Among Us 3D is packed with innovative features, including a permanent Tag Mode with the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, a mix of new and returning mini-games, and an array of fresh cosmetics to enhance your gaming experience.
It's important to note that Among Us 3D is distinct from the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022. Cross-play between these two games is not available. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, Among Us 3D is designed as a standalone game.
The developers explained, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."
Wishlist Campaign
You can now add Among Us 3D to your wishlist on Steam, and by doing so, you can participate in the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. This campaign offers various in-game rewards based on the number of wishlists reached. Here’s what you can earn:
