A new trailer for the highly anticipated series, Alien: Earth, has surfaced online, giving fans an exhilarating glimpse into what's to come. The trailer, which first debuted at Disney's 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, was shared on the @CineGeekNews X/Twitter account. It showcases the harrowing plight of survivors aboard a space ship ravaged by a Xenomorph, now hurtling towards Earth.

The trailer not only reveals a new Xenomorph design but also highlights the series' striking resemblance to Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 horror classic. The setting inside a MU/TH/UR control room is eerily reminiscent of the Nostromo, where Ripley famously uncovered the dire situation facing her crew.

In the trailer, a desperate crew member is seen banging on a sealed door, pleading for help as the Xenomorph closes in. Morrow, portrayed by Babou Ceesay, appears detached, reporting that the "specimens are loose" and declaring the crew dead. He then sets the ship's impact point as Earth. The trailer then shifts to six soldiers advancing towards what appears to be the crashed ship, hinting at a grim fate awaiting them.

The trailer raises numerous questions: Will Morrow survive? What drives his actions? Are there any other survivors among the crew? Was anyone left impregnated by the Xenomorph? And what fate awaits the soldiers?

Alien: Earth sets up an intriguing premise where a mysterious space vessel crashes on Earth, leading a young woman, played by Sydney Chandler, and a group of tactical soldiers to make a "fateful discovery" that pits them against the planet's greatest threat.

Last January, showrunner Noah Hawley provided insight into his creative decisions for Alien: Earth, explaining his choice to steer clear of the backstory established in Prometheus. Hawley, who consulted with Ridley Scott on various aspects of the Alien series, preferred to embrace the "retro-futurism" of the original films, opting to diverge from the bioweapon narrative in favor of the original lore.

FX's Alien: Earth is slated to premiere on Hulu in the summer of 2025. Additionally, Alien: Romulus 2 is currently in development, promising to further expand the Alien universe.
