MiHoYo's upcoming project, previously known as Astaweave Haven, is getting a fresh coat of paint – and a new name! The game, which has been under development, is now officially titled Petit Planet. While details remain scarce, this rebranding hints at a potential shift in gameplay style.

Initially rumored to be a gacha game or RPG, Astaweave Haven's new moniker, Petit Planet, suggests a possible life-sim or management game experience, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This marks a departure from HoYoVerse's established open-world gacha formula.

While MiHoYo has been tight-lipped about specifics, Astaweave Haven (now Petit Planet) received Chinese approval for PC and mobile releases in July. The name change was registered in October, and approval in the U.S. and U.K. is pending.

Given MiHoYo's rapid release schedule (consider the close proximity of Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail launches), we can anticipate a swift unveiling of Petit Planet once the name change is officially approved.
