Anime Vanguards' Winter Update 3.0: A Festive Overhaul

Developer Kitawari has unleashed Anime Vanguards Winter Update 3.0, bringing a blizzard of changes to this popular tower defense game. The update boasts a revamped lobby, a host of new units, exciting new game modes, and a plethora of quality-of-life improvements.

The most striking change is the completely redesigned lobby, offering significantly more space and a customizable day/night cycle (accessible in the settings). The UI has also received a major overhaul, resulting in a cleaner, more intuitive stage selection experience. Kitawari states in the patch notes that the previous lobby was "too small and cramped," prompting this substantial upgrade.

Key additions include:

• 12 New Units: These are scattered across a new Winter Banner, the Portals game mode, the battle pass, and leaderboard rewards. Specific units include Emmie (and her Ice Witch variant), Rom and Ran, Foboko, Karem, Rogita, Soburo, Regnaw, Dodara, Sosora, Seban, Rodock, and Giyu.

• Portals Game Mode: A new game mode featuring unique mechanics and tiered rewards. Using winter units and skins boosts team damage and unlocks additional rewards.

• Sandbox Mode: An experimental mode allowing players to test strategies without limitations.

• Boss Event Rerun: The Blood-Red Commander Igros boss event returns, with weekly boss event rotations.

Beyond the new content, numerous quality-of-life improvements enhance gameplay: smoother unit placement, a dedicated tab for Evolution Quests, searchable skin and familiar windows, clearer unit targeting indicators, and more.
