When Does Applin Appear in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and wraps up on April 29th at 8:00 p.m. The highlight is Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region, making its first appearance in Pokémon GO.

Evolving Applin into Flapple requires 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples, while evolving into Appletun needs 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. For Dipplin, the final evolution is Hydrapple.

Apples play a key role in evolution and can be found in the wild. Tapping them might yield a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Mossy Lure Modules boost the chances of encountering Apples.

Fun Fact About Applin

Applin lives its entire life inside an apple, camouflaging itself as fruit to evade bird Pokémon predators. It’s undeniably one of the most charming creatures in Pokémon GO’s lineup.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items, including an Applin Headband and Applin Apron, will be available in the shop. Event bonuses include 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.

Look out for increased chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild, plus higher odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
