It's worth recalling that Helldivers 2 holds the title of the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game ever, with an impressive 12 million copies sold in just 12 weeks. This record is unlikely to be surpassed by any other first-party Sony-developed game. Since its explosive launch, the game has faced numerous challenges, including a significant reversal on PSN account requirements on Steam, review-bombing campaigns, and a community often in conflict with the game itself over adjustments to gameplay balance.

Throughout these trials, Arrowhead has grappled with managing a larger, more diverse player base than it had previously encountered.
