Assassin's Creed Shadows, the first game in the franchise set in Japan, introduces dual protagonists: Yasuke, a Samurai, and Naoe, a Shinobi. The game's development has been fraught with challenges, including negative feedback and multiple delays. The latest delay pushes the release date to March 20, 2025.

The leaked information, originating from a now-deleted Steam update, according to Insider Gaming, details "Claws of Awaji." The DLC will reportedly introduce a new region, weapon type, skills, gear, and abilities, adding over 10 hours of gameplay. Pre-ordering the game will grant access to both the DLC and a bonus mission.

Delayed Release and Ubisoft's Uncertain Future

This leak follows another delay announcement, pushing the game's launch from its previously announced February 14, 2025, date. Ubisoft cited the need for further polishing and refinement.
