Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios have announced *Avatar: Seven Havens*, a new series to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary. Created by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the original masterminds behind *Avatar: The Last Airbender*, *Seven Havens* promises to delve deeper into the expansive world they crafted.

*Avatar: Seven Havens* will be a 26-episode, 2D animated series that follows the journey of a young Earthbender, who is revealed to be the next Avatar after Korra. Set in a world fractured by a devastating cataclysm, this new Avatar must navigate a perilous landscape where her title marks her as a harbinger of destruction rather than salvation. Hunted by both human and spirit adversaries, she embarks on a quest with her long-lost twin to uncover their mysterious origins and prevent the collapse of the Seven Havens, the last bastions of civilization.

In their statement, Konietzko and DiMartino expressed their excitement, stating, "When we created the original series, we never imagined we’d still be expanding the world decades later. This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters."

*Avatar: Seven Havens* will be structured in two seasons, with a 13-episode Book 1 and a 13-episode Book 2. DiMartino and Konietzko are co-creating the series alongside executive producers Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi. While no cast has been announced yet, anticipation is high for this new chapter in the Avatar saga.

This marks the first mainline TV series from Avatar Studios, who are also working on a full-length animated movie featuring an adult Aang. Scheduled for release in theaters on January 30, 2026, this movie promises to take fans on another thrilling journey with the beloved character.
