Ayaneo Reveals Two Android Gaming Devices at GDC 2025
Ayaneo made headlines at GDC 2025 in San Francisco by unveiling its first Android gaming devices, marking a significant shift in their product lineup. Known primarily for their Windows-based handheld gaming PCs since their founding in 2020, Ayaneo has steadily expanded into Android-based hardware. Here’s the breakdown of the two new devices they introduced.
Introducing the Ayaneo Gaming Pad and Ayaneo Pocket S2
Ayaneo’s latest offerings include the Ayaneo Gaming Pad, an Android gaming tablet, and the Ayaneo Pocket S2, a portable handheld device. Both are equipped with Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 platform, one of the first devices to feature this cutting-edge technology, promising enhanced CPU and GPU performance compared to the previous generation.
Ayaneo Gaming Pad
This gaming tablet boasts an 8.3-inch LCD display with a crisp 1440p resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, offering gamers a more immersive experience. The device also includes Wi-Fi 7 for faster and more stable online gaming sessions.
Design-wise, the Ayaneo Gaming Pad features a sleek glass back and a CNC-machined metal frame. It’s equipped with a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP front-facing camera, setting it apart as one of the few gaming tablets with high-quality cameras.
Ayaneo Pocket S2
The Ayaneo Pocket S2 is a compact Android handheld featuring a 6.3-inch 1440p display. It sports an upgraded Hall-effect joystick, linear triggers, and dual X-axis motors for superior haptic feedback. Ayaneo’s proprietary gaming software, AyaSpace and AyaHome, is pre-installed for seamless game management and customization.
Like the Gaming Pad, the Pocket S2 also runs on the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 platform, ensuring improved energy efficiency and performance, along with advanced features such as hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
