Beginner's Guide to Mastering Rune Slayer

After two failed launches and months of anticipation, *Rune Slayer* has finally graced our screens, and it's nothing short of GLORIOUS. Whether you're a seasoned MMORPG player or a newcomer, diving into *Rune Slayer* can be a thrilling yet daunting experience. Fear not, as we've crafted a comprehensive guide to kickstart your adventure in this captivating world.

Rune Slayer Beginner Tips

Here are some invaluable tips we wish we had known from the start to make your journey smoother.

Do not randomly attack other players

When *Rune Slayer* announced full-loot PvP, we braced for chaos. Fortunately, the reality is more forgiving. **Dying in *Rune Slayer* doesn't mean losing your items**, even to other players. You simply respawn and continue your adventure.

However, **attacking other players incurs a bounty**. The more players you kill, the higher your bounty, and consequently, the more items you'll drop upon death. Thus, the only way to experience full-loot PvP is by initiating attacks and subsequently being defeated.

Our advice? **Avoid attacking other players** unless you have a compelling reason or a supportive group at your side.

Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly realize that both your **bank and inventory spaces are limited**. With a cap at 50 items, your inventory can fill up surprisingly fast. The solution? **Craft bags**. You can equip two bags simultaneously, starting with the **Cotton Bag**.

To craft this, **gather Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south**. Be cautious as the southern area can be hazardous due to mobs. Each Cotton Bag adds 10 extra slots, so prioritize crafting them as soon as possible.

Your pets don’t actually die

There's a common misunderstanding that your tamed pets die when their health reaches zero. In reality, **your pet becomes unavailable for summoning for 5 minutes**. You can check this cooldown by holding **T** after your pet is "defeated". Once the time's up, simply hold **T** to summon your pet back.

**Bonus Tip:** To quickly **heal your pet**, store and unstore it at the stable master. You have one free slot, so make use of it.

Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)

*Rune Slayer* is packed with numerous quests, many of which are not repeatable and can blend into the background. Most follow the typical "Kill 10 X" format seen in other MMORPGs.

To streamline your questing, **accept every quest you encounter**. This includes those from the Job board. Completing multiple quests simultaneously is more efficient than tackling them one by one. You might even find yourself completing multiple objectives in one go.

Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)

While you should prioritize crafting what you need, don't hesitate to use **spare materials** to craft items you might not immediately require. **Crafting new items often unlocks more advanced recipes**. For example, smelting your first Iron Ore unlocked a range of new Iron Armor crafts for us. So, be generous with your materials and experiment with crafting.

Join a Guild

*Rune Slayer* is accommodating for solo players, but as you delve deeper, you'll encounter **tougher enemies** designed for group combat. The simplest way to form a group is by **joining a guild**.

Use general chat to express your need for a guild, or visit the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server to find one. Having guildmates will make tackling those formidable foes much easier.

And that's it! Enjoy your journey through *Rune Slayer*. If you're yet to start, don't forget to check out the *Rune Slayer* Trello and Discord for more insights and community engagement.
