Bethesda Veteran Shares Uplifting Message in Comeback Journey
Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his work in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room.
A video posted on his GoFundMe page, which has already raised an astounding $174,653 for medical expenses, reveals Johnson was in a coma. He expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of support: "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you."

Johnson, also a Washington Capitals announcer, was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit event. His absence raised concerns, leading his wife, Kim, to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.
"Rumors of my demise were not exaggerated," Johnson stated in the video. "It was very close. But I'm still here because my wife called the hotel, my son contacted security, and they discovered I was near death."
He recounted his five-day coma and thanked his friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and his wife Kim, for establishing the GoFundMe. He also expressed gratitude to the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals parent company chairman) for a $25,000 donation, and Bethesda for their public show of support. "You say I'm your friend. I am, always will be. Love you guys," he said to Bethesda. He concluded with heartfelt thanks to his fans, promising, "I'm not going anywhere. It's going to be a while, but I'm coming back."
Johnson's extensive voice acting credits span film, television, and video games, with a significant portfolio of Bethesda roles, including his recent portrayal of Ron Hope in Starfield. His other notable roles include Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance (Oblivion), three Daedric Princes (Morrowind), Fawkes and Maister Burke (Fallout 3), Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II (Skyrim), and Moe Cronin (Fallout 4).
