Unlock the Secrets of "The Lion's Crest" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

This guide details how to initiate and complete the bonus quest, "The Lion's Crest," available to players who pre-ordered Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest rewards players with valuable items.

Starting the Quest:

After completing the tutorial and gaining access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He will provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. You'll need to gather the necessary materials yourself, then craft the weapon at a blacksmith's forge.

Solving the Riddle:

The riddle is as follows:

"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."

This riddle leads you to Trosky Castle. Exit through the northern gates and proceed north through the forest.

Follow the path, watching for rocky formations on the left. You'll find small crevices to navigate, leading to a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross near the rock to uncover the first piece of Brunswick's armor and two treasure maps.

Locating the Armor Pieces (using the maps):

• Map 1: Continue west on the road from the chapel to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to a wolf den; the armor is in a bag near the trees above the den.

• Map 2: Travel to the outpost at Vidlak Pond. Behind the fisherman's house, locate a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest containing armor is near a cross on the rocks.

• Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov, leave the tavern, and cross two bridges towards Tachov. After the second bridge, take a small path to the river and forest. Follow it to a hill; the armor is in a bag near a large tree at the hilltop.

• Map 4: Travel to the hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Locate rocks with a cross; the final armor piece is nearby.
