Bullseye in Marvel Snap: snap or nay
Bullseye, a timeless villain, though perhaps a bit dated, stands out amongst the plethora of oddly gimmicked comic book baddies. He's a classic, a sadistic, murderous psychopath with a ruthlessly efficient approach to his work. His real name remains shrouded in mystery, possibly Benjamin Poindexter, Lester, or something similar. Unlike many, his abilities stem from natural talent, not superhuman genes; a "peak human" in Marvel terms, making him incredibly versatile.
His weapon of choice? Anything he can get his hands on. From throwing knives to pens, paperclips, or his signature razor playing cards, Bullseye is a master of improvised weaponry. He's a hired mercenary, a threat across the Marvel universe, famously responsible for Elektra's death and, as Hawkeye in the Dark Avengers, even more killings. His success stems from a combination of intelligence, turning murder into a business, and sheer skill.

So, what does he *do*? He throws things. In SNAP, this translates to discarding 1-Cost cards to deal damage to your opponent's cards, reducing their power by -2. Each card hits a different target, perfectly capturing his marksmanship. His "Activate" ability allows strategic hand disposal for maximum impact.

This makes him a natural fit for Discard synergies like Scorn or Swarm, providing eligible discards for his effect and theirs. While Daken only offers one target, the potential for other targeting methods remains. Bullseye becomes a controlled discard outlet, boosting cards like Morbius or Miek. His ability to filter and discard multiple cards significantly amplifies the impact of MODOK/Swarm plays, particularly on turn 5.

However, Bullseye isn't without weaknesses. Luke Cage renders his abilities useless, and Red Guardian can attack him from a different angle, punishing players who mismanage their turns. Careful deck construction and strategic play are crucial.
Bullseye Decks on Day One

The classic Discard deck is an obvious choice, synergizing directly with Scorn and Swarm. This example emphasizes Swarm, using Collector, Victoria Hand, and Moonstone. Gambit's inclusion adds card-throwing flavor and powerful game-swinging potential.

Another deck focuses on Daken's doubling effect. Bullseye provides control, allowing for strategic activation to buff multiple Dakens and discard multiple Shards. This approach offers a potentially powerful, albeit risky, combo, eliminating the need for MODOK/Supergiant maneuvers.
Verdict
Bullseye proves trickier than initially anticipated. His "Activate" ability requires careful deck building and strategic play. While his effect is limited, his significant contribution to Discard decks focused on Swarm and Scorn makes him a valuable addition for those willing to master his nuances. He's a flashy character with a flashy effect, and his impact on the meta is likely to be substantial.
