Cheetah and Cheshire Rob Justice League: Wonder Woman Creators Reunite

Renowned writer Greg Rucka and acclaimed artist Nicola Scott, who previously delivered a groundbreaking take on Wonder Woman's origin in "Wonder Woman: Year One," are set to collaborate once again in the DC Universe. Their new venture, titled "Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League," promises to be a thrilling heist narrative unlike anything fans have seen before.

"Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League" is a six-issue series penned by Rucka and illustrated by Scott, with colors by Annette Kwok and lettering by Troy Peteri. This series is part of the DC All In initiative. The collaboration brings together two iconic villains, Cheetah and Cheshire, who have significant ties to Rucka and Scott's past works at DC. Cheetah was a focal point in Rucka's two Wonder Woman runs, while Cheshire played a key role in Scott's "Secret Six" series alongside writer Gail Simone.

DC's official synopsis teases a gripping tale where Cheetah and Cheshire mastermind an audacious heist, targeting the most secure facility in the DC Universe. Their goal is to steal one of the most dangerous devices in existence, all while evading the Justice League. To achieve this feat, they must assemble a formidable team capable of outsmarting the world's greatest heroes. The challenge is immense, complicated by the facility's state-of-the-art orbital platform, its AI-driven security system, and the relentless pursuit by the Justice League.

In a statement, Rucka emphasized the high stakes for the villains: “This is a crew of villains, or at least nominal bad guys. Not one of them has access to—let alone would be welcomed aboard—the Justice League Watchtower. We’re not making this easy on them. But for Cheetah especially, this is an all-or-nothing play—she needs to do this job, and she’s not going to let anything, or anyone, keep her from getting what she’s after.”
