Codenames, The Classic Board Game About Spies And Secret Agents, Is Now Out On Android!
If you enjoy word games, you've likely encountered Codenames. This popular board game, centered around spies and secret agents, is now available as a mobile app. Originally designed by Vlaada Chvátil and published digitally by CGE Digital, Codenames offers a captivating digital experience.
What is Codenames?
In Codenames, you decipher secret identities. As part of a team, you must identify secret agents hidden behind code names using one-word clues from your spymaster. The challenge lies in correctly identifying your agents while avoiding bystanders and, most importantly, the assassin.
Codenames is a multiplayer game pitting two teams against each other in a battle of wits. Teams guess which words on a grid conceal their agents, using a single, cleverly chosen clue to connect multiple words. Your ability to interpret subtle connections and outsmart the opposing team is key to victory.
The digital version enhances the experience with new words, game modes, and unlockable achievements. It even incorporates a career mode, allowing you to level up, earn rewards, and unlock special gadgets.
A standout feature is the asynchronous multiplayer mode. Players have up to 24 hours to make their move, enabling participation in multiple games simultaneously. Challenge players worldwide or tackle daily solo challenges.

It's Still a Guessing Game!
The gameplay involves tapping cards on the screen to reveal your agents. Correct guesses flip the cards, but selecting the assassin results in an immediate loss. Managing multiple games adds an extra layer of complexity, but that's part of the fun!
As your skills improve, you’ll eventually take on the role of spymaster, crafting the crucial one-word clues. Ready to test your spy skills and word association prowess? Download Codenames from the Google Play Store for $4.99.
