Dynasty Warriors: Origins Gem Crafting and Pyroxene Farming Guide

Boost your character's power in Dynasty Warriors: Origins by crafting and upgrading Gems! Gems provide passive buffs, offering a significant advantage, especially on higher difficulties. This guide details gem crafting, upgrading, and Pyroxene acquisition.

Crafting and Leveling Gems

Gem crafting uses Pyroxene and is accessible at any Inn or tent. Select "Create Gems" (the second option in your room menu). You can use Pyroxene to craft gems at a 1:1 ratio. Five unique gems are craftable, with each Pyroxene having a chance to yield any of them.

Crafted gems start at level 1 and can be equipped via the Battle Preparations menu. Crafting duplicate gems grants experience (XP) to the base gem, increasing its potency with each level. For broad improvement, craft and upgrade all gems randomly.

For targeted gem acquisition, utilize the "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" effect. Crafting a single gem sometimes triggers this, limiting subsequent gem crafting to three random types. You can cancel this effect by exiting and re-entering the crafting menu. While tedious, crafting individually increases your chances of triggering "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" for your desired gem. Note that "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" reduces randomness but doesn't eliminate it.

Acquiring Pyroxene

Pyroxene crystals (orange) randomly appear throughout the overworld. Interacting with a crystal yields one Pyroxene and removes the crystal. Pyroxene respawns after completing skirmishes or battles, encouraging exploration of previously visited areas. Letters read in your Inn or tent room may also occasionally reward Pyroxene.
