• CrazyGames begins its 2025 Web Multiplayer Jam this week
• The 10-day event partners with Photon for global developer engagement
• Developers vie for cash prizes and premium Photon licenses

From April 25 to May 5, CrazyGames, alongside Photon, invites indie developers worldwide to participate in its 10-day global game development challenge: the 2025 Web Multiplayer Jam.

Collaborating with Photon, a leading multiplayer service provider, the jam focuses on crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games. Participants will compete for a €10,000 prize pool and premium Photon licenses, including:

• 500 CCU with Circle Starter for one year (€7,500 value)
• 500 CCU for one year (€1,500 value)
• 100 CCU for one year (€100 value)

The event requires games to be developed and submitted within the jam period, adhering to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these rules, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity.

Since its launch in 2014, CrazyGames has become a leading free online gaming platform, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL for seamless browser-based gaming across thousands of titles. With Photon’s support, CrazyGames will guide developers during the jam, offering winners a chance to publish on its platform.

A pre-jam livestream on April 24 at 4 p.m. CEST, hosted on YouTube and LinkedIn, will showcase two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, noted, “Photon has powered multiplayer WebGL for over a decade. Our new Fusion and Quantum tools simplify high-performance game creation. We expect a WebGL title to rank among the world’s top 20 websites soon, and the 2025 Web Multiplayer Jam is a prime chance to innovate.”
