The first season of the animated series "Monster Commandos," also known as "Creature Commandos," has concluded, marking the beginning of a new DC Cinematic Universe under the guidance of James Gunn and his creative team. Here’s a detailed look at the cliffhangers and key elements from the show's seven episodes.

James Gunn confirmed before the series aired that "The Peacemaker" series, starring John Cena, is part of the canon, excluding the cameo in Zack Snyder's "Justice League." The events of "Peacemaker" were referenced by John Economos, an ARGUS agent and Amanda Waller's sidekick, who appeared in the animated series. Peacekeeper also made an appearance, setting the stage for further integration. The "Suicide Squad" film is also canon, as confirmed in the first episode of the series.

Themyscira, Bloodhaven, Star City, Gotham, and Metropolis

The series introduced various iconic DC locations. Cerci, a witch, hails from Themyscira, the Amazonian island home of Wonder Woman. Dr. Phosphorus, a Gotham criminal, was captured by Batman. Metropolis is home to the Galaxy Broadcasting System (GBS), where Clark Kent and Lois Lane worked. Dr. Phosphorus's wife is from Bialia, ruled by Queen Bee, where the Scarab that powers Blue Beetle was discovered.

Rock, DC's renowned non-superhero soldier, debuted in the 1959 comic "Our Army at War" and has made numerous appearances across the DC multiverse. There are rumors that Daniel Craig may portray him in a future film, while Maury Sterling voiced him in the series.

Dr. Will Magnus
