David Fincher and Brad Pitt are reportedly joining forces once again to bring to life a sequel to Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. According to The Playlist, this unexpected project will land on Netflix, further cementing Fincher's relationship with the streaming service. The film, which remains untitled at this stage, will see Pitt reprising his role as the stunt double, Cliff Booth.

The screenplay for this sequel originated from a project Tarantino had previously considered for his final film, known as The Movie Critic. Despite shelving The Movie Critic last year, Tarantino decided to evolve the story into a sequel for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Netflix has reportedly acquired the screenplay for $20 million, with a planned budget of $200 million. The film is set to commence shooting in California in July.
