As fans eagerly anticipate the release of Days Gone Remastered, Sony's Bend Studio has unveiled exciting details about the game's enhanced accessibility features. In a recent PlayStation Blog post, Creative & Product Lead Kevin McAllister highlighted several improvements designed to make the game more inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

One standout feature is the ability to adjust Game Speed, allowing players to slow down gameplay from 100% to 75%, 50%, or even 25%. This adjustment is particularly beneficial for players who find themselves overwhelmed during intense moments, such as battling hordes of Freakers. As McAllister noted, "Hordes are a pillar in Days Gone gameplay," and the new Horde Assault mode makes this feature essential for a more accessible experience.

The remastered version also introduces customizable options like subtitle colors, a High Contrast Mode, UI Narration, and Collectible Audio Cues to assist players with visual or auditory impairments. Additionally, the auto-complete Quick-Time Event (QTE) option, previously available only on Easy difficulty, will now be enabled across all difficulties, from Easy to Survival II.

Bend Studio also confirmed that most of these accessibility features will be ported to the PC version of Days Gone. However, some controls, like feedback and customization options, will require a compatible controller.

With its improved accessibility options, enhanced photo mode, permadeath and speedrun modes, and other upgrades, Days Gone Remastered promises to deliver a fresh and polished experience. Fans can look forward to the remastered version launching on April 25, 2025. Existing PS4 owners can upgrade to the PS5 version for just $10.
