Destiny 2 Bug Thwarts Reputation Gains
Destiny 2's Grandmaster Nightfall relaunch has unearthed another reputation bug impacting Warlock players. While Destiny 2 has enjoyed a period of positive momentum with new content like "Into the Light" and "The Final Shape," recent weeks have seen a surge in game-breaking glitches. Bungie is actively addressing these issues, but new problems continue to emerge with each weekly reset.
Recent bugs have ranged from granting free rewards for AFK Crucible participation to providing unlimited Paracausal Shots with the Hawkmoon exotic. Warlocks have been particularly affected by a persistent reputation bug, previously hindering Gambit XP gains. This bug now appears to extend to other game modes.
The June 25th weekly reset brought back Grandmaster Nightfalls with a Vanguard reputation boost and double rewards. However, Warlocks are again experiencing significantly reduced XP gains compared to Titans and Hunters.
Warlock Reputation Bug in Destiny 2
The community has identified inconsistent Vanguard reputation XP gains for Warlocks during double XP events. Many players, initially unaware of the problem, noticed slower-than-expected progression. Remarkably, this bug may have persisted for several months without official acknowledgement from Bungie. Increased player awareness followed the discovery of similar Gambit XP issues for Warlocks last week.
Currently, players can only raise awareness and hope Bungie addresses the issue. Update 8.0.0.5 addressed numerous problems, including Ritual Pathfinder adjustments and the removal of Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids. However, the Warlock reputation bug remains unresolved.
