Access to the tundra is granted after finishing the prologue.

A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe! This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful, sweeping attacks and Sword Mode for ferocious close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by completing Chapter 2's pre-season story.

Season 4 introduces Palico companions! Customize their fur, facial features, and names to create the perfect hunting buddy. AR functionality lets you bring your Palico into the real world for some memorable photos.

Boost your hunting success with Friend Cheering! Send cheers to friends for a temporary health boost, adding a collaborative element to the gameplay. Note that there's a limit to the health boost achievable through cheers.
