Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024. The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months of gameplay remaining before the servers are permanently deactivated.

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling premise but ultimately fell short of expectations. While initially generating excitement among Disney fans, a lengthy beta period and inconsistent content updates led to player attrition. The game's demanding shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, further contributed to its decline. Despite impressive character designs and visuals, the game's potential remained unrealized.

The abrupt EOS announcement, following a recent content update including Cinderella as a playable character, surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first instance of unexpectedly ending service; previous titles like Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off have also faced premature closure.
