Despite the initial lukewarm reception, there's a glimmer of hope for Snow White. Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King, which opened to a modest $35.4 million domestically, eventually grossed over $717 million worldwide. Disney is likely banking on a similar 'sleeper hit' success for Snow White, even as it grapples with ongoing concerns about Captain America: Brave New World's performance. After six weekends, Captain America: Brave New World has accumulated $400.8 million globally, with $192.1 million from domestic markets and $208.7 million from international territories.

IGN's review of Snow White awarded it a 7/10, praising the film for meaningfully adapting the original rather than merely replicating it.
