Divinity: Original Sin 2 - How to Get to Bloodmoon Island
Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines the methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken segments. Crossing requires:
- Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
- Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but may be limited by party composition.
- Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids allow one character to cross using translocation, then the rest teleport to them.
- Fast Travel: A character with translocation reaches the island waypoint, enabling the rest of the party to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
An undead ferryman northwest of Cloisterwood offers passage. However, this is a trap!
- With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the crossing. He can then establish a waypoint for the rest of the party.
- Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids. One character takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), and the second pyramid is used to teleport the rest of the party to them for revival. This is less efficient than using the bridge.
Caution: Avoid attacking the ferryman unless you have a quick save. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
If Fane isn't in your party, the spirit bridge method is generally faster and safer.
