Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has officially launched into its third season of year six, named Burden of Truth. This season invites agents to immerse themselves further into the game's narrative, embarking on a quest to locate Kelso across Washington, D.C., guided by her enigmatic clues. As players progress, they'll uncover more about Lau's recruitment and delve into the mysterious "Cassandra" mission.

A highlight of this season is the introduction of the Rogue Momentum system, which revolutionizes combat by incentivizing aggressive playstyles. By engaging and defeating enemies and completing combat challenges, players accumulate momentum. While regular kills contribute a small increase, critical hits, skill combinations, multi-kills, and eliminating elite enemies significantly accelerate the momentum meter. As this meter fills, players unlock enhanced abilities including faster movement, quicker reloads, increased damage output, and higher firing rates. At its peak, the Overcharge feature activates, dramatically reducing ability cooldowns.

Alongside these combat enhancements, the season introduces new weapons and gear. Players who own the Warlords of New York DLC and Year 1 Pass benefit from an expanded inventory with an additional 50 slots.

Among the new additions are the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. The season also introduces two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, offering innovative gear options. Named weapons like the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL come with unique talents, allowing players to fine-tune their builds. Available across all platforms, Ubisoft is keen to gather player feedback to enhance future updates.
