The beloved *Dragon Quest X*, a unique entry in the long-running series, is finally making its way to mobile devices—but with a catch. This release, featuring offline functionality, is currently exclusive to Japan.

Japanese players can download *Dragon Quest X Offline* tomorrow on iOS and Android for a discounted price. This single-player version offers a fresh way to experience the MMORPG-style gameplay, a departure from the series' usual formula. Interestingly, a mobile port was initially planned way back in 2013 by Ubitu, though it never materialized.

Unlike other *Dragon Quest* titles, *Dragon Quest X* features real-time combat and other MMORPG elements. The offline version, released in 2022 for consoles and PC, offers a more accessible entry point for players.

Unfortunately, there's currently no news regarding a global release of *Dragon Quest X Offline* for mobile. The original *Dragon Quest X* was a Japan-only release, and while an international mobile launch isn't impossible, it remains uncertain.

This is a missed opportunity for many international fans, myself included. The chance to experience even a different version of this beloved series on mobile would be fantastic.
