Developer Funcom announced the delay, providing an opportunity for eager fans to get a head start by purchasing the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition, which grants access starting June 5, 2025.

Funcom cited feedback from the ongoing Persistent Closed Beta as the reason for the delay, stating that the additional time would allow the team to "cook" the game further and implement changes suggested during the beta phase. This extension also paves the way for a large-scale beta weekend next month, offering more players the chance to dive into the game and provide their input.

While the delay might be disappointing for some fans eager to explore the sands of Arrakis, Funcom is set to host a combat livestream today at 12pm ET/9am PT. This event will delve deeper into the game's PvP and PvE mechanics, archetypes, and skills, providing fans with more insights into what to expect from *Dune: Awakening*.
