Elden Ring Nightreign's First Network Test: Sign-Ups Open January 10th

The highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign, a cooperative Soulsborne experience, will hold its initial network test starting in February 2025. Registration opens January 10th, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for a 2025 release and will feature three-player co-op gameplay within the Lands Between. This initial network test serves as a crucial step in the game's development, allowing FromSoftware and Bandai Namco to assess online functionality.

Limited Platform Availability:

While the game targets PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, this initial beta is restricted to the latter two platforms only. Cross-platform play is not supported, meaning players will only be able to connect with others using the same console. Progress made during the test is not expected to carry over to the final game. Further beta tests may be announced in the future.

Party Size Restrictions:

The game will support solo play and three-player parties, excluding two-player groups. Whether additional gameplay restrictions will be implemented in the network test remains unconfirmed.

How to Register:

1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website on or after January 10th.
2. Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
3. Await confirmation email.
4. Participate in the test during February 2025 (exact dates to be announced).

While the number of available test slots is undisclosed, interested players are encouraged to register early. Confirmation emails will be sent out no later than February 2025.
