Elden Ring is set to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025, a revelation that came during Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct. While it's not yet clear how this version will compare to those on other platforms, the announcement has certainly stirred excitement among fans, promising the arrival of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition to the Nintendo community later this year.

Since its launch in February 2022, Elden Ring has become a cultural phenomenon, selling over 13 million copies within its first month and reaching nearly 29 million copies sold to date. The game has seen players tackling its challenging bosses with unconventional methods like the Nintendo Switch Ring Fit controller and has sparked intense speedrunning competitions. Following its success, FromSoftware released the critically acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in 2023, and fans are eagerly anticipating the cooperative spin-off, Elden Ring: Nightreign, which has shown promising results in early public network test sessions.
