In its latest announcement, Bethesda unveiled the details of Fallout 76 Season 20, aptly titled "Glow of the Ghoul." This thrilling update introduces a groundbreaking new mechanic that allows players to fully embrace the role of a ghoul, offering unique advantages and challenges. Once transformed, players will revel in total immunity to radiation, which shifts from being a dangerous threat to a beneficial healing factor. However, this transformation may alter player interactions as some in-game factions might turn hostile towards ghouls.

Available from level 50 and above, the ghoul transformation eliminates the need to manage basic survival aspects such as hunger and thirst. Instead, players must focus on a new mechanic: managing their feral progression and radiation accumulation. As radiation levels increase, players can unlock special perks, adding a layer of strategic depth to the gameplay. Furthermore, players have the opportunity to revamp their C.A.M.P. setups with new, thematic radioactive aesthetics. For those who prefer the human experience, reverting back to human form is always an option, providing flexibility in how you choose to navigate the game.
