Farlight 84's "Hi, Buddy!" expansion launches today, introducing exciting new features. The centerpiece is the Buddy System, adding adorable and helpful pets to the battlefield.

Adorable Allies: Meet the Buddies

The Buddy System introduces Common and Archon Buddies. Common Buddies, easily captured, offer useful abilities. Rarer Archon Buddies boast significantly more powerful skills. Buddies are acquired using Buddy Orbs, found scattered across the map, and capable of storing up to six tactical items.

Ten Buddies are available at launch: Common Buddies Buzzy, Morphdrake, Petal Peeper, Smokey, Snatchpaw, Squeaky, Sparky, and Zephy; and Archon Buddies Time Dominator (capable of manipulating the Safe Zone) and Storm Empress (who summons damaging tornadoes).

Beyond Buddies: Map Revamps and More

The Sunder Realms map receives a significant overhaul, featuring new terrain, structures, and landmarks—including ramps, enhanced buildings, giant duck statues, and floating boulders.

A new Tactical Core system lets players upgrade hero skills and unlock new abilities using Trait points earned through leveling. Trait Activation Cards are required to maximize these abilities.

Exciting events, the Buddy Showdown and Rare Consolidation Event, offer rewards such as skins and loot boxes.
