My Father Lied: A Point-and-Click Adventure Unveiled
Ahmed Alameen's debut point-and-click adventure game, My Father Lied, is set to launch on May 30th. This narrative-driven puzzle game, inspired by Mesopotamian history, invites players to unravel a compelling mystery.
Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman embarking on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's disappearance twenty years prior. The discovery of a previously unknown brother adds another layer to the enigma, propelling Huda's investigation.
Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after the team dissolved, mastering game design to bring his vision to life.
Gameplay revolves around classic point-and-click mechanics, guiding Huda through atmospheric environments. Players will piece together images, decipher codes, and solve a series of puzzles. Alameen cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft as key influences on the game's style and tone.
Employing a blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including meticulously crafted frame-by-frame cutscenes, Alameen achieves visually stunning results while ensuring compatibility with lower-spec PCs.
