The Thing with Feathers Review

Feb 26,25(1 years ago)

This review is based on a screening at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. The film, while visually stunning, ultimately falls short of its ambitious narrative goals. The cinematography is breathtaking, capturing the stark beauty of the landscape and the subtle nuances of the characters' emotions. However, the plot feels somewhat disjointed, with several narrative threads left unresolved. While the performances are generally strong, the pacing occasionally lags, leaving the viewer feeling somewhat detached from the central conflict. Despite its flaws, the film's visual artistry and moments of genuine emotional depth make it worth seeing, particularly for fans of independent cinema.
